Hello all,
An exciting weekend here in the bone - The guys had been working on opening the 8.5 miles of snow covered road for 10 days. On Saturday they were successful in punching a road into Jawbone. There is now road access into camp - bittersweet for us. It is nice to have the road open, and we are enjoying the change of activity as we prepare for our spring season. But it is sad to say so long to one of the more amazing winters we have enjoyed. Snow will be here for many months to come!
Here's a few shots of the action in camp this week. The snow banks on the side of the road are 5-6 feet high. It is pretty crazy around here. There are piles of snow 2o feet high - as tall as the tops of our cabins. That's Joe is a hole he dug to get to the water valve for our instructor cabins.
Hope you are all well and that our paths cross soon.
Much love to you all,
Katie and Joe
